My Current Obsession: Rachel Zoe for QVC

I've always envied Rachel's vintage jewelry collection. Now with her line for QVC, everyone can access pieces that are inspired by Rachel's vintage/archive jewelry. My favorite piece is either the Emerald-like stone cocktail ring or the caged stone earring that can be worn two different ways: as a stud earring or the full length chandelier earring (not pictured)

Splurge or Save?

Splurge: Classic Evening Clutch

Olivia Palermo's quilted Chanel clutch has been the perfect match for many of her appearances lately. Invest in something classic, not of the moment. Save on trendy handbags.

The Look: House of Harlow 1960

Nicole Richie announced earlier this year that she will be expanding her line to include clothing and accessories. Until then, I've came up with a few "inspired by" dresses and I'll show you my favorite pieces from her current jewelry collection.

Inspired by House of Harlow:

Summer Night Apparel: Sequin Jackets

This is a fresh take on the trend of sequin capelets that lasted a few years. Whitney Port, Rachel Bilson, and Olivia Palermo have all been spotted in this trend.
Whitney is in DVF. Rachel Bilson is sporting D&G. While Olivia Palermo wears her go-to brand Zara. The gold shrug is by Elizabeth and James(available at ShopBop). The silver jacket is by Robert Rodriguez(also available at ShopBop).

Hair to Envy: Olivia Palermo

Whether her hair is straight, curly, or pulled back into a chic bun Olivia Palermo seems to have perfect hair 24/7. Her look is polished and refined.
For Her Glamorous Curls:
Part Hair down the middle. Spray John Frieda's Dream Curls curl perfecting spray all over damp hair and blow dry. After hair is dried, use a one inch to one and a half inch curling iron. Make sure to keep the roots sleek. Curl AWAY from the face. When finished, use a pea-size amount of Secret Weapon flawless finishing cream to get rid of any flyaways....To further the Olivia look: Twist your bangs or shortest layers (about 1 inch sections)and clip right above your ears with mini claw clips.

Her Take on The Chignon:
Work John Frieda's Straight Fixation smoothing creme through your hair to add texture and get rid of frizz. Again, she twists her shortest layers and pins them with little clips. Next, pull the hair into a mid-level ponytail with a sheer elastic. Then twist the ponytail around itself and pin with bobby pins. Finish with hair spray and shine spray if desired.

Intentionally Imperfect Straight Hair:
Use Frederic Fekkai's Ironless Straightening Balm on damp hair and blow dry. Touch up with a flat iron. Finish by misting your hair with a shine spray.

Splurge or Save?

Save: Luggage
Yes, Lauren Conrad's Goyard carry-on bags are nice. But they can also draw unwanted attention. Not to mention, luggage can get thrown around and beat up at the airport. Do yourself a favor and buy a plain suitcase.

Spring 09: Light & Airy

Oh so light and airy are the dresses seen on the Spring 2009 runways. Designers such as Donna Karan, Marchesa, Halston, and Armani showcased the looks. Here are a few of my favs from the runways shows. My favorite was the one-shouldered goddess-like cream Marchesa. It was perfection.
